Trouble Shooting PRS 700

I have a new PRS 700 and have been using it for a month. I plugged it into my computer at work to charge it and after I unplugged it and error message came up, "Invalid Format" I can't get into my main menu. If I reformat I loose all me books in my library? I tried resetting it with the reset switch and nothing. Does anyone know why this happened? How can I fix it without having to reformat my ebook?

tmride--It sounds like you're going to have to reformat your reader...sorry. But if you haven't deleted the books from your computer, you should be able to transfer them over again from your computer once the 700 is re-formatted.

Also, if you have deleted the books from your computer, try plugging your 700 into your computer to see if the computer will see your 700 as an external drive. If it does, you may be able to copy the books off of it and on to your computer before reformatting the 700.

Good luck!

Just had this problem. Had to reformat the thing almost a dozen times in a row before the format took. Just don't load all your books right away. Load a half dozen books on and check it works, then another dozen then check and if it works after that it is ok to do the rest. I found that dumping loads onto it straight away was a bad idea.
