There was a bug in all the gtranslator.acx instances - missing comma.
AcXE itself was OK. Now the ACXs should be fixed, sorry for any inconvenience. Concerning appreg.db - yes, it seems all installed ACX leave a trace in this file and that can be frustrating when such ACX is missing or not working anymore. Therefore I've added appreg.db cleanup code to AcXE uninstall bundle (from version 5). When AcXE is uninstalled, it will remove any traces of translator or gtranslator from the tables inside appreg.db. Then you can try installing AcXE + desired ACXs again. Cleaning /system/acw/ could help as well. |

Ok. I did this:
- put only gtranslator.acx(the one before you correct it) to kindle. It didnt work - If you said Quote:
- Installed Update_acxe_5_install.bin - copy the new gtranslator.acx to user store / system/acw/ Result: I don't have "Translate" or "Google translate" option in "More" Menu. I am so bright Can I undo what I did? Last edited by onlyra; 04-06-2014 at 06:26 AM. |

It's OK. Now delete all files in [userstore]/system/acw/ and reboot Kindle.
Then you will get stock ACXs only. Install AcXE, put the fixed gtranslator.acx in [userstore]/system/acw/, reboot Kindle and you should see working Google Translate item in the menu. |

Yes it worked. Now I have "Google translate" option.
Thank you! Can you put an install info like this on the first page: "Install AcXE(Update_acxe_5_install.bin from acxe_5.zip), put the gtranslator.acx(the one for your own device) in [userstore]/system/acw/, reboot Kindle and you should see working Google Translate item in the "More" menu after you highlight some text." It works! Thanks!
I found a little bug. It works only when I set Kindle language option to English. When I set Kindle language option to German, then language comboboxes in Google Translator have same empty parts. |

Any suggestion on how to use dict.leo.org as a translate service? I find it to be the best online dictionary, but it unfortunately doesn't feature a public API, so one would have to snarf the HTML output directly...

I feel stupid.
I can't find [userstore]/system/acw/ on my kindle, for me it seems like all the installer did was that, it made a folder called acxe |
