My 2012 goal on Goodreads was 2. And since I've read over 30, my goal is finished and now I can read for fun

I don't set goals, but this year I'm trying to keep track of what I read, just to see how many books I read in a year.

I enjoyed the reading goal last year, but it was more to see what I usually do. While I didn't read any more than normal (and I am reading more than normal this year, because a lot of the best sellers I want to read are not being released in ebook form so I am borrowing them in pbook form), writing them down was a pain. I have about 4 different books going on my 2 kindles at an point in time, and I am probably reading 5th (or playing Angry Birds).

My goal this year is 75 books. I did 79 last year. I *think* I'll make it again this year, though I'm looking a a number of *long* epic fantasy series this year so who knows.

Last year's 100 goal just turned out to be no fun. I read for fun.

I got the 7 Dragons Notepad app for my K3, and jot down each book (or audiobook or pbook) as I finish it. The last time I tried keeping track, on paper, was a few years ago and I didn't make it past February. Let's hope I can keep this up - I'd really like to know how many books I go through in a year. I'm keeping track and I did set a goal. It isn't an issue if I do not meet the goal. But It does help me know how my reading is going.

I set my goal at the end of the year. I know I'll reach that goal for sure by then!

Got Calibre? That's how I keep track. When I finish a book, I add the metadata of that books and fill in the year read.
