WarpSpeed overclocking tool that kills screen whine
Some Palm devices emit this annoying whisteling, squaking, crying, peeping, screeching, singing, whining, hissing screen noise. 17-year old Dmitry Grinberg wrote the overclocking tool WarpSpeed which not only claims to make your Palm faster but also as silent as a rock.
I have no clue how this app works and how it can get rid of the noise, but try it out yourself if you don't believe it. |

I've heard overclocking reduces the life span of your device.

STRONG WARNING... do NOT run this on a non-OS5 device, or you will LOSE ALL DATA on the device.
This application doesn't properly check the OS version at startup (tsk tsk!), and will cause a fatal reset on your OS4 device, and then a looping reset condition at startup, which forces you to hard reset your device to get it back. As with any new software, you should have a full backup of your device prior to installing it anyway. You DO back up your device before installing new software, right? You have been warned. |
