WarpSpeed overclocking tool that kills screen whine

Some Palm devices emit this annoying whisteling, squaking, crying, peeping, screeching, singing, whining, hissing screen noise. 17-year old Dmitry Grinberg wrote the overclocking tool WarpSpeed which not only claims to make your Palm faster but also as silent as a rock.

I have no clue how this app works and how it can get rid of the noise, but try it out yourself if you don't believe it.

I've heard overclocking reduces the life span of your device.

STRONG WARNING... do NOT run this on a non-OS5 device, or you will LOSE ALL DATA on the device.

This application doesn't properly check the OS version at startup (tsk tsk!), and will cause a fatal reset on your OS4 device, and then a looping reset condition at startup, which forces you to hard reset your device to get it back.

As with any new software, you should have a full backup of your device prior to installing it anyway. You DO back up your device before installing new software, right?

You have been warned.
