Eh, it's not that so much as it is the fact that they appear to be singling out British and American "tourists" for elimination.

I mean, thank you very much, but I think it's quite enough that no matter where you go, you are almost guaranteed to end up with a terminal case of the trots (that's just a fact of life), but now, people want to murder you simply because you are a British or American tourist??? Not there to do anything but look around, spend some money, see the sights ... and for this you get killed???

I think on the whole, I can get killed just as easily here in the States and NOT have intestinal cramps at the same time.

So .... I'm stayin' home. Someone wants to kill me, they can do it for some other reason and right here in the damn front room.

Don't you realise that by saying that, you are letting these bastards "win"? That is precisely what they are trying to achieve.

If you look at the statistics, you'll find that the change of dying in a random act of terrorism is vanishingly small - certainly far smaller than being murdered in your own country (the US has a murder rate 70x higher than that of the UK, per head of population).

Nasty things can happen to you even if you stay at home. You've told us before, IIRC, that you have personal experience of that yourself.
