Question Questions to DR800 owners

I am thinking of buying a used DR800, and I plan to use it to take handwritten notes at the office. I have some questions and would be very grateful if someone could answer them for me:

1. Does the DR800 support multi-page notes?
2. Can you rename the notes?
3. Can you search for a note by typing a part of the title?
4. Can you export the notes or create a backup to a pc in any way?
5. Is there a way to replace the battery?

Thanks very much in advance!

I'm sorry, I use an automatic translation software.

I own a DR800SG on which I installed DR800+ v4.

1. yes, you can add, but the new page will be the head and not at the bottom
2. yes, you can rename quickly, even at a later time
3. yes, but will search across the internal memory, including even ebooks and more
4. yes, one needs to install Xournal
5. I think so; my battery has 30 months, but does not have any problem

But I think that the ASUS EA-800 is much better in this function.

Thank you for the quick response!
This is good news. I will try to install the linked software when I receive the reader.
I agree the software of the EA-800 is excellent, but my office is not so bright now so I prefer the e-ink screen.

Device: Irex Iliad, Asus EEENote
@ joepsichip

Hi, I am also thinking about adding an Irex 800 to my collection. As of now I posess an Irex Iliad (Book Edition) and an Asus Eee Note. Can you compare the Iliad with the Irex 800 (you seem to have both devices)? Does one gain with the Irex 800 compared to the Iliad (crisper screen, more formats, more apps, battery life)?

Notice that I have an Iliad with no shell access, so - as of now - I have no recourse to third-party-application (FB-Reader and the like).

@ jmirko
If you come to have both devices (Irex Iliad and Irex 800) now, can you share your experience and point to the differences (see questions above)? It would be great to hear from you (we seem to sport the same devices: Asus Eee Note, Irex Iliad).

kontrabas

I should share my experience with the Iliad and the Asus Eee Note in a couple of days.

At the link below you can access to a confrontation between iLiad and DR800 that I made a long time ago. The language used is Italian, and later maybe I groped to write a few words in English.
