Does any major publisher offer real-time sales reports?
Amazon and B&N both offer authors real-time reporting on ebook sales. Periodically, they send a check if you've sold a minimum number of copies.
I was wondering if any major publisher...say, one of the Agency Six...does this for their ebook sales. |

Simon & Schuster, Hachette, and Random House just announced this week that they'd be providing access to sales data - NY Times article here.
This LA Times article talks about Simon & Schuster: Quote:

That's a good step!
I wonder how often authors get paid for their e-sales, if it's monthly (as with Amazon, if they owe you $100 or more) or if it's all still part of the regular sales statement, which puts payment anywhere from six months to a year behind the actual sale. |

@J.Strnad:
Amazon and Nook will pay you monthly regardless of amount, if you use EFT. HTH, Hitch |

My understanding is that if you've got a deal with a trad publisher with an advance, first you've got to earn back your advance. Then, if that ever happens, you get paid on the same quarterly scale as everyone else, but that might be wrong.

There has to be some form of feedback or how does those "Best Seller Lists" come about.
Does anyone know? |

I'm pretty sure Amazon and Nook DON'T pay monthly if the amount is under a set figure like $10.00. By check or EFT.
