These are actually quite nice, and v. cheap. Looks like the cut-out woudl allow access to the Sony buttons - it would stick out a little at the top, and be a little loose at the sides, but the extra depth might help hold it it (Sony: 173x110x8.9; Kindle 165x114x8.6). I wonder why NaviTech are selling these for the Kindle, but not similar ones for the Sony? Doesn't look as if they'd need much adaptation. My Gecko cover arrived to day
The only issue I see at this stage is the top right corner of the T1 is a bit too close to the cover edge which means less protection if it drops. |

They promised photos for cover with light as well.
If you change the number in gecko covers url, name will change to match the product name. So apparently they already created pages for: http://www.geckocovers.com/sony-reader-luxe-p-70.html http://www.geckocovers.com/sony-read...ight-p-71.html and http://www.geckocovers.com/amazon-ki...ight-p-72.html but still no content there. |

Smart move covering up that glossy bezel! NO LEATHER!: not so smart
I never felt good about those straps. But why make the case with cheap(or in this case, very expensive) plastic?
"Sony Reader PRS T1 Luxe ... The cover has a synthetic leather exterior and a velvet interior." Quoted from Gecko's web-site. Navi-Tech seems to be offering the same case in genuine nappa leather for about €10 less. However, acording to them, it won't be available in Europe till next week. http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B006...n=&s=&v=glance I wonder if anyone in the US has allready tried it. http://navi-tech.amazonwebstore.com/...B00664HZV6.htm Can't find the link w/o the extra light right now. |

I've checked Amazon reviews of some of their other cases when looking for one for my T1 and all their "leather" seems to be rather cheap synthetic leather. But maybe someone who's got one can say something about that. Meanwhile I've got the normal Gecko cover and I really like it. The "leather" feels very nice though only time will tell how durable it is. |

It seems that the whole site http://www.geckocovers.com/ is down at the moment.

Velcro rules
OK, I'm a little bit ashamed but I didn't feel like spending money on a case ....
So I took the cover from an old (now defunct) PRS-505, applied 3 velcro scratch stickers and .... voilà I secured the stickers on the cover with some extra-strong glue (the cyanoacrylate kind). The stickers on the reader seem to be strong enough, and being white they don't look too horrible .... |
