I'll post some recommends too, some have been FAOTD too.

Practically anything from 10tons Ltd. I've recently finished Azkend and King Oddball. Both very good games.

I've recently discovered Feed Me Oil (published under Electronic Arts Inc.), and Contre Jour from Chillingo.

You have to buy the puzzle packages separately, but Puzzle Retreat by The Voxel Agents is great too. If you like Quell, you'll probably like this as the gameplay is similar.

So if you have multiple devices and need to rename them to keep track of what is what, I suggest you only upgrade one device, or backup the APK and downgrade after getting your credit.

Thanks for mentioning your problems with the Amazon Appstore update. I had a similar thing happen on one of the earlier upgrades. It deregistered my device and somehow I ended up with three devices in my account, even though I really have only two.

For that reason, I haven't updated the app in a long time.

You should be able to use the credit on the packages. Puzzle Retreat is quite good, I enjoy it a lot. I like it better than Quell myself.

The PathPix games are also quite fun, there's a free PathPix Lite that has nine puzzles in it you can try. I picked up the first game and the Christmas themed one the other day and my mother's just loving them to death. I think she likes them more than I do actually.

I just updated the Amazon Appstore on the Android device that I rarely use. I then "purchased" today's Free App of the Day from there. I now have the $5 app promo credit in my account.

I thought about that strategy late last night. I'm not sure if there are any Free Coin-earning apps I want to buy, but I'm going to take a look. I could probably earn enough free coins from those purchases to then get the more expensive app I've been eyeing with free coins.

Promotional (free) coins expire one year from receipt (end of month). Purchased coins never expire. Coins given out with the purchase of an app are considered promotional (free) and will expire.

The first batch of 500 free coins expire 31 May 2014. Free coins given out during subsequent promos expire 31 Oct 2014, 30 Nov 2014, 31 Dec 2014, ...etc.

Thanks for the additional free apps! Those appear to be compatible with Kindle Fire tablets only, not other Android devices.
