when SVG is not well-formed

When an svg-file is not well formed (eg. I lost </g> tag in my svg)
- in the Book View it seems like that the svg-file doesn't exist in ePub;
- there is no message that the svg-file is bad on open in Code View.

Yes, this is expected behaviour. Sigil does not validate SVG images. If you want that option, you might want to right click and use "Open with ..." in the and open the SVG image in an application for editing SVG that validates.

Thanks for your reply, KevinH,
but unfortunately this error was not shown in IE11 and Inkscape 0.91
The picture was OK in both programs without any info...
Only Chrom helps me to understand that problem within svg, not Sigil.

SVG is xml, so I was thinking that add such check is more easy to implement than many times answer to users that this problem with the file, but not Sigil.

Shameless plug: You could install my epubcheck plugin, which will also check the validity of .svg files.

For example, it reported the following error for your test file:

Code:
image001.svg 36 Fatal Error while parsing file 'The element type "g" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "</g>".'.
If you don't like the plugin or can't get it to work, you could also use pagina EPUB-Checker, which comes with a nice GUI.
