My sincere condolences to MR members in Poland, or with family ties with Poland. Your loss is truly devastating and incomprehensible!

I light a candle for the family, of a one-year-old girl who has died after she was attacked by a dog in Crawley, West Sussex (UK)....

I light a candle for an innocent young woman wrongly imprisoned to hide the existence of a serial killer.

My condolences to the families of those (at least 22) who were killed, as well as those who lost their homes, businesses and whole neighborhoods as a result of more than 50 tornadoes that hit several states on Saturday, and included Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Mississippi (which was the hardest hit). It's heartbreaking to think that a few seconds of violent weather can result in the death of so many. Those few seconds can cause the total obliteration of everything you worked an entire lifetime to build, and a moment later the sky is clear and blue, and the sun shines as if nothing had happened at all. Except that now when you look around to where your home once was, there's little of your life left recognizable if anything is left there at all. It's gone in an instant. And the sun shines brightly, as if mocking your loss. So sad. |

Thinking of Nomesque's husband, who has undergone surgery and may have had a rection to the epidural. I hope that he feels better very soon.

I'm beginning to feel like a whiner. My Mom's last living sister (90 years old) died last weekend. I'm beginning to think it is not a good idea to be related to me.

In memory of Pshrynk's aunt. And for pshrynk and his family, who have had a sad year with several bereavements.
One of the most stressful parts of reaching middle age is seeing the older generation pass away. |
