Welcome Laurens to Mobileread
It is with greatest pleasure I announce that Laurens has officially joined the team of Mobileread. Please help us warmly welcome him to his new position!
Most of you who are familiar with Plucker know Laurens for his work on JPluck and its successor Sunrise. Sunrise allows you to convert regular websites and newsfeeds for offline reading with Plucker on your handheld. As we add Laurens to the editorial team, we are gaining a wealth of knowledge as well as the inside scoop from an experienced developer's perspective. Laurens has long been a kind and respected member of the mobile computing community, and it's a delight to have him officially join us as part of the team. |

Welcome aboard, Laurens! Although I am still using iSilo/X (due to the reader), I am intrigued by all the good news around Sunrise.
Keep up the great work! |

Let me add a warm welcome to Laurens as well! Im not a sunrise user (yet). Im still waiting for Vade Mecum to catch up to Plucker so I can try it as an alternative to iSilo (and then I'll be able to use Firefox to grab web pages, woot!).
Again, welcome aboard Laurens! |

Congrats Laurens! You're the reason I even belong to mobileread!
And as a longtime Sunrise user, I now have a *burning* question--has your development of the follow-on to Sunrise been placed on a backburner with all of the recent developments? |

Um, Laurens, have you considered seeing a doctor about your humongous hands? Is that what happens when you code too much?

Uhmg. Afraid I caused this misunderstanding. The person on the photo is NOT Laurens. And no, as far as I know, Laurens is not a woman either

I was just kidding, besides how would those spindly little arms support such ginormous hands?
