Quelqu'un connaît-il la règle en français pour les majuscules et les mots composés ?

Rouge-Gorge ou Rouge-gorge ? Grand-Mère ou Grand-mère ?

En français, seules les premières lettres des noms propres ou du premier mot d'une phrase prennent une majuscule.
Donc, je choisirais la deuxième solution à chaque fois et ce uniquement si rouge-gorge et grand-mère débutent une phrase.

Pour rappel, les mots du titre d'un livre ne sont pas tous accentués comme on peut le voir dans les pays anglophones.

Dans mes deux exemples, il ne s'agit pas de noms propres, cas pour lesquels la règle est simple, mais de noms communs.

Que faire s'il s'agit d'un titre ? Le Rouge-gorge ou Le Rouge-Gorge. C'est certainement l'influence de l'anglais mais la seconde proposition me convient.

C'est d'ailleurs ce que j'ai trouvé sur ton lien.

Excuse-moi, en me relisant je vois que je n'ai pas été aussi précise que je le pensais.
Un titre français serait "Le Rouge-gorge" ou "La Grand-mère qui habite à Valence" puisque

Je suis d'accord avec toi mais dans ce cas précis ma question concerne les mots composés constitués de noms communs reliés par un trait d'union.

Je crois que je ne comprends pas bien où tu veux en venir, désolée. N'hésite pas à donner plus de détails, si tu penses que cela peut aider

Si c'est un titre, voir ci-dessus.
Si ce n'est pas un titre mais une phrase standard, seul le premier mot (du mot composé) prend une majuscule si ce même mot composé est au début de la phrase. Alors, si comme, c'est leplus souvent le cas, la phrase commence par un article, un pronom ou un adverbe, seul cet article, pronom ou adverbe portera la majuscule.

Il y a parfois des raisons esthétiques dans le choix des mots accentués. De plus, il semble que les règles évoluent avec le temps et il peut s'agir du choix d'un éditeur lors d'une nouvelle édition.

Mais, si en tant qu'auteur, tu souhaites écrire le titre différemment rien ne t'en empêches. Les majuscules font partie des choix créatifs au même titre que les polices, couleurs...

Je ne sais pas quelle réponse donner, car dans mon livre de référence : Lexique des règles typographiques en usage à l'imprimerie nationale" (ISBN 2-782-743-304-829), je n'ai rien trouvé.

Toutefois, la majuscule s'impose dans les noms propres composés : le Bas-Rhin. Dans les noms communs, elle ne devrait donc pas être présente dans la seconde partie du nom composé...
