Since their recent updates rarely seem to do anything at all (beyond wrecking mods), I'd just as soon they NEVER pushed them through and always let me decide if I wanted them! Thank god my K2i is safe...now if they would just leave my PW alone.

I've never had one Kindle update download automatically with the exception of the Kindle Fire's first firmware update. After that I have to do it all manually.
