A candle for my brother, if I may. He is dealing with a move, financial stress, and new baby coming for him and my SIL (good but stress), problems with his tenants, and now he has shingles. All that and a toddler, too. My nephew is well-loved but he is a handful. |

I hope your brother and sister-in-law get some relief soon from all the stress they are going through at the moment. Sending good wishes and good Karma their way. Mag. |

Thank you, everyone. I do worry about the shingles with my brother because it is on his back. This is pretty painful because his back is bad from being in a pretty terrible car wreck when he was 18. To top this off, his job is physical. He runs bike tours of New Orleans (Confederacy of Cruisers).
Red, I continue to think about your family, especially your uncle. I can't even imagine. |

Light a virtual candle, please, for the healing and comfort to and of all the souls affected by the tragedy in Colorado.
The pain is incredible. |

I'm with you there, nobody should have to suffer that. My thoughts are with those affected.

Indeed - it is horrific. How much longer must innocent people suffer this sort of thing in the US because of the easy access to guns and ammunition by anyone who cares to buy them?

I'd say until they understand that weapons' sole purpose is to kill and that having them around will only bring death and destruction. Also until selling weapons stops being a profitable business.
So ballpark figure here ... forever! |

Let's all keep the families of the victims in our thoughts. Also, the family of the gunman, as they are also suffering a great deal of anguish.
What we should not do, is make this into a debate or discussion about gun control. Please keep this about the grief and anguish of the victims and families. Further comments on gun control will need to be removed. We do have a forum for that sort of discussion. pshrynk - moderator |
