No Keyboard, Settings not working

Last night my T1 froze. I did a soft reset and it started working again but with the message "Latin Keyboard application has stopped working". The only modifications on it were Morkl's June reader and home screen.

This morning I did a factory reset, tried to reflash with firmware 1.4 (it came up with "already updated") but now I have no access to a keyboard at all. I noticed that in the settings menu the keyboard is set at United States (everything else is set correctly to UK) but when I tried to change it the T1 says that "Settings has stopped working".

Has anyone any idea as to how to get my T1 working properly again?

I found a folder on my computer called restore set which worked and now everything seems to be back to normal.
