Calibre print out

I so dis a gree having a calibre built in spreadsheet that gives users a built in listing would be wonderful.

And with the huge ads in postings here that stinks . And spreadsheets are never easy to figure out; use and the directions are stink - o . .

I'm actually surprised that I'm still trying here! I even started taking a series of screen shots last night to show how exactly the catalog process and Libre Office is done!

Maybe I will finish that off tonight.

Maybe its a wind up, short of someone going around and doing it, I don't know what more help could be given.

eschwartz I was aware that Lostsoul had said the file was deleted but I figured either it could be restored from the recycle bin or a new one could be generated since it only takes seconds to do.

Yes, but that requires actual willingness to do so, which is what I wasn't seeing.

In Windows I use krksoft's Directory Lister Pro to produce ad-hoc lists for my music and video libraries. The output format I use is HTML, it also does Text and CSV. If ebook embedded metadata was as ubiquitous as music and video metadata is, then I'd also use it for my ebook libraries.

If you search hard enough the old free version of Directory Lister v 0.9.1 can be downloaded from some of the 'old software' repositories.

For anyone coming to this thread the following info should easily clear up how to create a list of the books in your calibre library. Below are quotes from this thread.

If the CSV file is still too complicated but you have been able to create an ePub version of your catalog there is still hope of printing out a list. Below suggests an ePub to PDF conversion might be worth a try. Once in PDF format, Adobe Acrobat Reader can be used to print out the list.

Just for good measure lets remind everyone now that the CSV file can be opened in a simple text editor. It might be worth a shot.
