Thanks for the "Suggested Oddities" Moejoe.
I'm in the middle of a rather large military sci-fi space opera and needed a break, which "Oddities" provided. I had many a laugh, especially knowing (in the MR way) the characters from whom the suggestions came. WDE. (Now to get back to those hundred characters and their titles and their ships and their gallaxies and their...) |

About three quarters of way through the stories, and really enjoying them. Strangely, there are some echos of the story that came into my head when I submitted my title/idea -- and I'm trying to decide if I should risk writing down my idea.
Many thanks for these tales.... |

Crikey, that's heartening news. I just checked and overall I've had 5,000+ downloads of my stuff, which means that by using the 5% rule, I've actually been read by around 250 people. I'm chuffed to death over that one.

i bet it's more than 5% even, i wouldn't be surprised if there were 250 people who've read your work on mobileread alone.

It would be nice to think that, but 250 people reading is 250 people more than were reading my stuff a couple of months ago. The internets are brilliant, as is mobileread and everybody here who reads too

it's excellent news for everybody who participated too. They're as much the stories of the people here who suggested the elements as they are mine. Without the strange suggestions and the participation of Mobileread members there wouldn't have been a collection in the first place.
So that 1,000+ downloads is as much a Mobileread victory as it is mine |
