I'm back to using an e-ink device. This time I'm using a Kindle 4. So far I like it.

I know of at least one ... the Onyx Boox Lynx has a headphone jack. As a matter of fact, I think their whole current line has headphone jacks.

There are current devices (good ones, too) with a headphone jack; Onyx's T68 has one, the upcoming InkPad from Pocketbook will have one...

Not incredible - merely untrue . Lots of current reading devices have headphone sockets. The entire range (AFAIK) from both Pocketbook and Onyx, for example.

I miss the volume buttons because they are also used in Android for things like screenshots and accessing the recovery.

I like using e- ink reader in the summer months. For reading outside. I am using the kindle Paper White, 1st gen. But I am also thinking of getting the 3g version next time. With the next generation Paper White.
