MAYDAY! Need a wee bit of help with this one!

I have been working on SVG graphics, Xlinks and ePub and trying to get them to run on Apple iPhone and iPad.

So far - so good, but hit a stumbling block tonight.... I have attached a wee ePub to illustrate what i'm trying to achieve and what the problem is.

Basically i have a purple dot that has Xlink to another landing page. That all works fine and links to the next page. The problem is i cannot get the purple dot graphic to sit at the top of the ibooks page beside the header.... it keeps its position in the middle of the screen, no matter what i do!
I have tried loads of stuff, changing viewbox, <img>, <object>, <embed> and <iframe> tags...nothing seems to be working

Basically i need to know how to anchor the 'purple dot' svg graphic at the top of the iBooks page beside the <h3> header as its keep dropping down creating a lot of white space....... however, i also want to keep the linking and zoomability of the svg..... just need to know how to keep it at the top of iBooks page...........?

mayday- mayday - mayday
cheers
Dave
