Nope. No SPAM.
You have to go to the Amazon website and enter email addresses you want to receive emails from. Nice touch since spam would absolutely ruin this experience. |

The conversion is from (say) .doc to a format readable on the Kindle. if you don't want to pay the fee, then it is possible to convert to DRM-free MOBI (say) on your PC and then use USB to copy the file to your Kindle.

No PDF support either. You'll have to convert it yourself to DOC or HTML first as best you can. And that means, of course, no Digital Editions either.

Since it only costs $.10, does anyone want to have fun with Amazon? I want people to send me DOC files at least 200MB in size. They will lose money on each transaction. |

Does anyone know where I can find a coverage map for the Whispernet EVDO? Not sure it would work here....
And is that $0.10 per document or per page? |

One thought just occurred to me, what happens when the EVDO infrastructure is phased out in favor of something else down the line? I'm guessing there's not likely to be a way to upgrade the wireless hardware. |

If they're got any sense they'll have implemented the wireless stuff as a separate plug-in module. That's a big "if", though...
