Unable to add subscriptions to collections

Has anyone else tried to add their subscriptions that come from recipe output to a collection on their Kindle?

For example, I can read the Austin American Statesman, but if i decide I want to keep that copy for some reason, "Add to Collection" is greyed out.

I do not have this issue with books added to Calibre, only recipe output.
