I liked Stephen King's Cell. It was pretty silly but enjoyable.

Though he's often pretentious, Cormac McCarthy wrote quite a doozy with The Road. The story is simple and almost B-movie-like (a father and son walk toward the coast in a post-apocalyptic America). But the book was FREAKY SCARY because there are always cannibals nipping (often quite literally) on their heels. That was one thing the movie didn't get; it had the basic plot but just wasn't very scary. An added plus: it won the Pulitzer Prize so you can brag that you read a literary novel even though it's just a glorified zombie story.

Can we say that 50 Shades of Grey is a zombie book as you have to be a zombie to read it. Granted, it's not a good zombie book.

New Zombie book - funny
Found an entertaining zombie book for kindle. "Revival"
It's pretty funny and a trilogy. I think it was like 3$ on the kindle Store. I'll be buying the other two. Bad language, crude humor, And zombies getting blown away. |

You wouldn't happen to be the author of the book would you? It's ok by me if you are, specially since the thread is about zombie books however a little transparency would be appreciated. Also, there is a self promotion sub-forum if you care to use it. |

Just finished Hugh Howey's I Zombie. I can truly recommend it. A very different take on the Genre, very deep and very moving.

Just finished the AB version of Married, with Zombies. Aside from the overuse of some words, such as "splattered" and its variations, it was an entertaining tale of a pair of youngsters on the brink of divorce. Their relationship begins to change, however, when they are almost eaten by their marriage counselor. As society comes apart, they decide on a 100 mile trek to reach David's sister house. Along the way, they rediscover each other and learn traits and talents they never new they had.

But the point is that we had to wait when we should not have had to wait. The ePub could have been published at B&N & Kobo the same time as the Amazon version.
