how to edit a mobi document

need advise, i have written a indian cookbook that has a lot of pictures, it is a step by step by guide. I have managed to get it converted for kindel fire from word doc. they have done a great job(at no cost as i am trying to raise money for macmillan org) but there are still afew amendments , so i was wondering what software would i need to open and edit the converted book?[/QUOTE]

Moved to the Mobi forum. BTW, the device is called the "Kindle", not "Kindel". Probably a good idea to get that right.

You can't edit Mobi books directly; you need to convert to an editable format, do your edits, and then convert back again.

One method would be to convert your Mobi book to ePub format using Calibre, edit it in Sigil, then convert it back to Mobi format again with Calibre.

Extract the html in Mobiunpack, edit it with your favourite html editor, and use Mobicreator to turn it back into a mobi.

Probably better to use KindleGen these days. Mobicreator is up to date with image handling for a cook book.
