Anyone else here from China?
I live in Seattle, and in China. Crazy, I know. I guess that's what planes are for. Hey, if anyone else is from China, let's talk, and compare notes on what we're reading.

That's one heck of a commute, Lancer. Good to have your company. And, yep, many members here based in China: some ex-pats from the US and Europe and some Chinese. Very best wishes. Neil

Can you get electronic books in China? What readers can you get there? What authors can you get over there? I am always interested in forum members from oversees and find out what is avilable over seas.

Welcome to MobileRead! I agree- quite a commute!
I love Seattle- I miss living there. I haven't been to China, however... |

Thanks for the good wishes from fellow expats!

Since I've had similar trouble with the Apple ITunes/App Store (music has lots of licensing/distribution issues) I use that credit card there too, so I can't comment on iBooks. Anyone else have experience to share? What eBookshops will distribute without any hassle? ==>Lancer--- http://LancerKind.com |

Moving off-topic
Hi Lancer, and welcome to MR.
I wonder if you can help me. I recently posted a msg in the General forum asking about ebooks in Mandarin (simplified). I'm not yet at the stage of being able to read simplified Chinese, but it's my goal, and I would like to see if my Iriver can cope. Since it's bought in the west, it might not be able to, without embedded fonts. If you can find a free ebook in Mandarin I'd appreciate if you could give me a url or even mail me a copy so I can test it. Or even a cheap one. I can afford a couple of dollars for a test. TIA and excuse me for the OT post. |
