New User please bear with me
Ok I'm using Calibre on a mac OSX 10.4.11. I have a Sony reader.

I downloaded a file from Penguin, a taster with the file name

9780670917341_GodsOwnCountry.epub

When I go to add it to my Calibre Library I get an unhandled exception error with the following detail

cannot import name NewMagickWand
Detailed traceback:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/Applications/calibre.app/Contents/Resources/lib/python2.5/site-packages.zip/calibre/ebooks/metadata/epub.py", line 117, in render_html
ImportError: cannot import name NewMagickWand

am I trying to do something calibre can't cope with or am I just missing something? I have searched on this forum but either I haven't searched well enough or I'm not capable of seeing the answer when it is presented

Just to add to that perhaps I was being impatient because when I tried to do it again it said that I already had a copy in my library.

So my new question is what was the error all about?

It's a bug, re-download 0.5.95 and you should be fine.

He made a typo. .4.95 is the version he meant.
