Calibre on Ubuntu/ARM?

I just tried to install the latest Calibre (0.6.14) on my shiny new Sharp NetWalker PC-Z1 (one of these).

The PC-Z1 runs Ubuntu 9.04/ARM, on limited resources.

The binary install doesn't check for architecture and therefore tries to grab an x86 version. (Oops.)

The source install ... doesn't; it gets as far as complaining "No module PyQt4" then expires.

Has anyone built Calibre against Ubuntu 9.04 on ARM? (I ask because I'm a little reluctant to start installing the whole Qt universe on a machine with only a 4Gb root partition that's already half-full ... and no English language restore image available to me yet!)

(I'm happy to settle for the command line tools without the GUI, if Qt doesn't like Ubuntu/ARM.)

Edit: I've just discovered how/where to build a system restore microSD card for my Netwalker. Once I've done that, I'll feel a lot happier about trying to get Qt up and running on it (and fixing any other dependencies I can deal with). As Kubuntu is available for ARM, I'd be astonished if Qt isn't available ready-built.

I note that there's an old version of Calibre (0.4.something) packaged for Ubuntu 9.04. Is anyone actively maintaining the Calibre Ubuntu package?

The command line tools depend on and some use Qt.
