I was merely adding on to your suggestion to PeterT that he make a video. I suggested sock puppets in the hope they would overcome any language barrier the OP is facing, perhaps succeeding where pages upon pages of clear explicit instructions have failed. But doubt they would. I see the same lack of willingness there that you and everyone else does. (though the only reason the reference to that lack of willingness was mentioned in my post was because I was too lazy to edit it out.) And the 'ignore' comment was just a general comment to the thread at large, not directed to you. I was also too lazy to make a second post. See, what laziness does? I tried to save myself effort, and here I am expending twice as much fix the problems it caused! Let this be a lesson to you all. |

But I've just been discussing laziness elsewhere. Quote:

I usually use one of these: [LINE]450[/LINE] to show that I condensed two posts into one.

Can I announce that I'm going to ignore someone manually? Not using the forum function?

I'd rather know if I've been ignored so that I might consider what I might have posted to prompt such a reaction, and adjust my decorum accordingly. And if I announce who I've ignored publicly, then if someone thinks I've metered out rough justice they can tell me publicly or privately and I might reconsider my action. If I ignore anyone else, can I tell them privately so that they get the message? BR Last edited by BetterRed; 02-25-2014 at 10:39 PM. |

But, as with the Force, laziness has a dark side and a light side. Light side laziness would be, for example, when you are too lazy to go through the steps to print your book library, so you code up a little utility to automate it. Dark side laziness would be... oh, let me see if I can make up an example....like if you expend the effort to write requests for assistance over and over but don't put any effort into understanding and learning from the answers you get. |

My solution is to say that that isn't real laziness. "Laziness" is their excuse, not their reality. |

Foregive me if this is in this thread but a search for 'description' found me nothing.
I can see the descriptions of my books in the catalogues on my Kindle. Why can't I see them in the list of tick-able items for creating a .csv file? Tony |

The "comments" field holds the books description.

Thanks DoctorOhh,
I now need to work out how to get a spreadsheet column to wrap. That'll be a nice challenge to start the week with. Tony |
