Kindle PW1 - Custom fonts
I have a PW1, still on firmware 5.3.9. When I heard that upgrading from that point would make running custom fonts impossible I just never turned on the wifi again.
I just wanted to ask if that's still the case, or is it safe to update the thing again? |

@JxK: Depends on what exactly you rely on for custom fonts support, and how you expect them to be useable.
Vanilla device, the USE_ALT_FONTS trick & custom fonts visible in the Aa menu? Nope, that's gone. Custom fonts hack? That's still possible, although with the usual caveats, refer to the K5 fotst hack thread for more details. |
