organizing kindle library on android tab but not from cloud

Am rank amateur, pls pardon dumb questions. I have Samsung Tab 4, and Kindle app. Like so many Kindle people, need to organize my library but so far can't find a way to do so with the downloaded versions of the books, independent of the cloud. That is, be able to see the organization and read the books without being online. Any simple answers? Any answers at all? Thanks.

You certainly don't need to be online to read Kindle books. You do need to be online to add/remove books to/from Cloud collections, but once the book is in a collection you don't need an internet connection to see your collections.

I would just add that you can organize your Kindle books into Collections without downloading them to the device, as long as you are online.

The easiest approach is to convert your Kindle books to an epub format using Calibre. Then you can use any ereader software you want and organize your library any way that you want. You don't need the Kindle app and you don't need Amazon's asinine collections.
