That's good then since I ordered one yesterday expressly for the Reader.

My Kingston 1gig shows up 970 megs I think, and should work for the entire amount.

can verify that the Kingston 2gig SD works partially.
FYI, Costco has those for $47.99. I am sure online might be cheaper but if you get them at a store, no shipping.

Take Care

Woot.com has 2 512mb Memory Stick Pro cards for 17.99+5.00 shipping today as their 2 for Tuesday sale.

I've been using the 32mb Pro Duo from my PSP with a small adapter that came with a 2gb card I purchased a while back. It works fine, but I'm a little squeamish about inserting and removing it from the Reader too often. These should more than cover my memory needs.

I'm considering buying a 2gb SD card for this reader. Anybody has such a card on the reader that will work to its full capacity instead of just 1gb (partially)?

Try Frys.com

Pop in a Patriot 2gb no problem... Also tried a PQI and Transcend 1gb no problems. Panasonic 256MB also a ok. All show the correct size. No playback problems. Don't recommend Cosair. Have problem with my camera and other units that use their SD memory.

Remember that Black Friday is comming up next month...

Just wanted to say that I just got my 4GB Ritek Ridata 150x SD card working in my reader. It gave me lots of problems until I just deleted all the data off of the card (after backing it up on my computer) and stuck the blank card into my reader. After that, it appeared in the CONNECT Reader and showed Available 3.8 GB, Capacity 3.8 GB!

Thanks for reporting the working compatible card. Hope more people will jump in to report working 2gb and 4gb cards.

I bought a Kingston 2GB SD from buy.com last week ($20 after 10$ discount for using Google Checkout and $10 rebate).
link
It works fine, and reports 1.9 GB available in CONNECT.

I picked up a Polaroid 2GB SD card (made by PNY apparently) at the local Frys Electronics for $49.99 the other day and it appears to work fine.

I'm using an "A-Data Speedy" (whover the heck they are!) 2GB SD card. Works fine and shows up as the usual 1.9GB capacity in "Connect".

For the sake of good order (and for those who may still have some old Memory Sticks around from their old Sony cameras) I have used Sony Memory Sticks of 16 MB and 128 MD, Lexar Media 64 MB Memory Stick, and San Disk 128 MB Memory Stick. All worked. I did lose some space on them if I did not remove the camera directory structure before placing them in the Reader.
