Lg stellt E-Book mit Solarzelle vor

näheres gibt es hier bei golem, leider noch kein Starttermin dabei, aber ein guter Ansatz um den Reader noch mobiler zu machen

Kleine Ergänzung: Oled-display.net (via Engadget) bietet Meldung und ein Werbefoto damit man sich was vorstellen kann.

Hmm, wie wäre es, wenn man die Solarzellen direkt in der Schutzhülle unterbringt? Dann ließe sich das System über eine einfache USB-Verbindung zum jeweiligen Reader universell nutzen?

Aber wenigstens wäre damit das "Eisame-Insel-Problem" endgültig gelöst!

Das wäre dann ja auch wieder ein anderer Schnack. Ein Extra-Gadget eben.

Müsste für multiple eReader-Formate anpassbar sein, mit den unterschiedlichen Akkus gut zurechtkommen ...

Solar-Ladegeräte gibts ja schon so einige. Vgl. z.B. diesen Thread und die Diskussion dort.

Stimmt, LG verlegt wohl auch künftig keine ebooks sondern baut (wovon auch gustav011 ausgeht) dann EBook-Reader / -teile.

Interessant wird es erst, wenn das Solarpanel in die eInk-Oberfläche eingearbeitet werden kann. Das ist nämlich die einzige Stelle bei einem eReader, die nie (teil)verdeckt sein wird während des Lesens.

Warum nur mit anderen eReadern?

Ein eReader mit integrierten Solarzellen finde ich bei den derzeitigen Preisen eine relativ bescheidene Idee. Wie du sagst, ist es viel sinnvoller ein Solarzellengerät mit USB-Anschluss zu nehmen, an dass dann nicht nur der Reader, sondern auch Geräte wie Handy, MP3-Player und Digicam angeschlossen werden können (die man alle viel öfter aufladen muss als einen eReader).

Erste Produkte, von der Idee her super, von Umsetzung und Preis noch diskutabel, gibt es da zum Beispiel bei solarbags.de

Das einzige wo ich es einsehen würde, wäre, wenn die Solarzellen wie bei einem Taschenrechner den eReader so betreiben, dass man sich über das aufladen erst gar keine Gedanken mehr machen muss. Aber dafür denke ich ist die Technik nicht ausgereift genug und würden den eReader noch dazu nur unnötig verteuern

Zu überlegen wäre auch ein eBook-Reader mit Induktionsspule wie bei wiederaufladbaren Taschenlampen.

Man schüttelt den Reader eine Minute lang wild und kann dann zehn Minuten weiterlesen ...

Haha...ich stelle mir gerade jemanden in der Ubahn vor, wie er wie ein Wilder sein Lesegerät schüttelt

Gab es auch nicht mal Ansätze, Handys über Körperwärme zu laden? Dann müsste man nur kurz mit seinem Reader kuscheln

Mir gefallen insbesondere die Umhängetaschen. Aber die Preise ... wow.

Du verwechselst da 2 Dinge:
Aufladen durch schütteln = Schwungmasse und Dynamo (auf Wunsch auch mit Kurbel)
Aufladen durch Induktion = Strom wird in einer Spule erzeugt, wenn in einem speziellen Magnetfeld befindlich.
