Looks like B&N is getting ready to stock the shelves with the HD tablets.

Haven't seen the nook hd yet but I don't know why anyone would get the older ones to tell the truth.

I wouldn't buy a Color or a Tablet over the Nook HD.

I have to say, the Nook HD is really nice. The screen resolution is the same as on my almost 5 year old MacBook Pro.

I just got the Nook HD for $150 at Staples online, plus $15 back on ebates, plus 7% back from ebates/DiscoverCard. They also have the HD+ for $199.

Curse you Zoshka!! I was perfectly happy thinking I got a good deal on my HD+ when I bought it on Cyber Monday (only three weeks ago) for $229. Now, thanks to you, I feel ripped-off! You just had to post that and pop my bubble, didn't you?

Well, I had paid $199 plus tax for the older NT in February this year which I though then was such good deal, now it can be had for as low as around $99 (supposedly refurb but rumored to be spanking new).

It's been a nice Tablet, but I wanted something bigger to read PDF magazines without having to zoom and scroll every page. HD+ is very nice. |

Seeing all the price slashes on the Nook Color, Tablet, HD and HD+ and even on Amazon Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD makes me think that we might be reaching a bit of a saturation point in the market. I think we are going to have to see major improvements to convince people that already have a tablet buy a new one in less than a couple of years.

I just bought an HD+. About the only reason I bought it was for the bigger screen to read PDF magazines. Now that I have the bigger screen, I can't foresee any reason for me to buy a new tablet unless it's something like the Nexus 10 for $100 or some other unbelievable deal like that.
