Yeah I saw that a couple of months back (via hackaday.com). Jason Chen at Lifehacker must have been farming for some stories as this seems to be doing the rounds again. The original link is the following if you take the link train all the way there;

It's pretty neat idea especially for those outdoor types. I can imagine this being cool if trekking/camping for longer periods without access to power.
