Jordan's Wheel Of Time series to be released in E-Book form
Apparently announced at DragonCon this weekend.

Interesting. I wonder if this means they'll finally be launching their ebook store or...

I don't know about the whole Prologue for $3 deal, but whatever. I'm sure some folks will buy it.


Interesting that they've commissioned new cover art for the ebooks.

No word on DRM?

You'd have to assume they will be smart enough to go with epub, but then again if they had been really smart then they would have started this a few months ago and released 2-3 a month so that by the time the new book came out the rest of the series had been available as an ebook.

Regardless of people's opinions on the quality of the series, its still a good thing every time you see another well known series or author become available as an ebook.

IF this means the long-rumored deal with Baen is finally going ahead then they will be offering multiple formats at good prices.

If not: Expect $16+ per book and all the major DRM formats.

Yeah, but there are a lot of books I can get the paperback cheaper for. Doesn't make much sense to me. I know that ebooks have costs different than printed books, but still that still shouldn't make it cost more (and sometimes way more).

This is something I really looks forward to.
I don't care what other say, but I think it is an amazing series.

I just hope that that it won't be a Kindle only release.
I have previously read on dragonmount that Tor Books would like to publish it for the Kindle.
