John Grisham has NOT gone digital after all
Do you remember back in February when Mr. Grisham's agent said that ebooks would be out "soon"? Seven months have passed and nothing has happened.

I've been trying to follow up on this the past several weeks and I can't get the agency, The Gernert Company, to give me the time of day. I invite all of Mr. Grisham's fans to ask his agents directly. Here is the email address:

I think the publishing industry is widely and rightly known for almost always being belated on just about everything.

But, in all fairness: it's hard work taking the money earned by other people's creativity!

Title is misleading. Just because the books have not been released yet as ebooks does not mean they will never be released.

I was surprised to see, in one of the youtube reviews of the Sony Readers, a list of John Grisham books. Would love to get my hand on those.

I have them all in either hard cover or paperback... but would love to be able to carry them with me if I wanted to read them again...

Well, since it seems that Ms. Niffennegger's publishers have decided for her to offer her second book in ebook format (despite her personal rant against the death of pbooks), this decision may lie solely with his publishers, not the author. Money talks.

Agreed. The title makes it sound like something was announced and then the release was canceled and now it's never going to happen, just becuase it's been seven months since his agent said 'soon'.


Maybe he didn't have a clue as to what was involved in releasing them, there are quite a few books.

Maybe they're waiting to release them at the same time as his next book to capitalize on marketing.

I suspect they'll want this to be a "big" release like Clancy or LotR. It's possible all the books are done and waiting for an 'event' that's been planned to take place. They may not say anything about it if Random House has asked them to stay hushed for now.
