Thumbs up Can't Update & Jailbreak due to cvm checksum failure
Hey dude~
I have Kindle 2i in hand, and the Software Version: Kindle 2.5.6(501108064);
After uninstall all of the hack, I try to update my K2i's firmware to 2.5.7_B003，it is no successful, get error code "U006";
And I found it is can't jailbreak either, the "kindle-jailbreak-0.4.N" is not work.

After "dumpMessages" I got the log info,
the error message is
"C def: patch: patchinfo="/usr/java/bin/cvm":checksum failure"

additional error info

install “2.5-jailbreak”

install “kindle-jailbreak-0.3.N”

Could anybody help me to fix it?

(P.S. I have trid to uninstall the JB/Usbnetwork/Font hack/SS all version that I can find...what a pity... )

You are too late but just to say that I have installed new firmware 2.5.7 over Jailbreak 0.3.N and FontsHack 3.9.N-k2 with 2.5.4 firmware without uninstallation. I think SSHack does messing with new firmwares often so I have decided not to use it anyway. Just began to like brrrr Emily Dickinson, brrrr. I ever always close my Kindle case that I can't look at the screensaver...

Have you tried reset to factory defaults or somewhat with 30 sec holding power slider then Home key for 5 sec (backup your books first)?

Hey enkov, I have tried factory defaults and Recovery Mode, it is not work too...

Anyways, if mario can't help you, make sure you uninstall DUOKAN, as dkinstall.sh, install.sh, are part of their package I believe. They have uninstall bins now I believe, but I uninstalled it through the GUI by running the system itself.
