John W. Campbell Editorial
John W. Campbell was the editor of Astounding Science Fiction, a post he held from 1934 to his death in 1971. This particular editorial was written in 1961. I have found no evidence that the copyright was renewed, so it is now in the public domain. I am posting it in RTF. If someone wants to upload a copy to our ebook library, feel free.
This is one if my favorite Campbell editorials. I strongly urge you to read it. |

RE:
Speaking of Campbell, is his biography of Lovecraft available as an ebook?

Hmm maybe I am thinking L Sprague De Camp?
It's been ten years since I read it. Did De Camp write one? |

Nate,
Had you considered gathering up a pile of his editorials as an ebook for MR? Might make a good read.... |

While I was trying to answer Phogg's question earlier, I learned that there is an out of print collection of his editorials . I bought a copy off of Amazon. I'm going to scan the ones that are in the public domain and convert them. |

For anyone reading this thread, the Campbell editorial is now available in LRF format, with a bonus 11 pulp covers from Astounding.
