Kindle 2 - first charge time?

I have bought a lightly used Kindle 2 Intl and successfully registered it.

At the moment it has the critical battery picture on (kinda weird seeing something on the screen when it isn't on).

I have plugged in via a USB mains charger and have an amber light, as per the user guide.

How long should a charge from critical battery take?

using USB takes longer but if you left it overnight like you said on the other thread then it should be good. Maybe try resetting it. Hold the sleep/wake button to the right for about 15 seconds

Some mains USB chargers don't fully charge the Kindle. Plug it into a computer to top it up to full charge.

I don't charge via USB. Via wall charging, it takes about 2.5 hours to charge fully from getting a low-battery warning. You can use the Kindle while it's charging, if you wanna.

Was all working the next morning. I'm not fond of the screensaver pictures but at least I knew it had done something!
