Well, seems that you have to blame the author of the reading app on your ipad.

Could be several thing going on. Just because the fonts display in Sigil, doesn't mean there are no problems. Do the fonts display correctly in ADE? Does anyone know if you still have to add the "com.apple.ibooks.display-options.xml" file in your META-INF folder (described here)? Are there any settings in iBooks overriding the embedded font?

@Keroberos : I tryed adding "com.apple.ibooks.display-options.xml" file in the META-INF folder but it doesn't work ? @DiapDealer : by talking about the (non-standard xml file), do you mean "com.apple.ibooks.display-options.xml" ? or it is a different one ? One other stupid question : What do you mean by ADE ?? Thank you again, |

ADE = Adobe Digital Editions. Adobe's (buggy) desktop reading software, the mobile version is used in most major ePub readers (except iBooks, Apple created their own buggy software). Sigil's rendering engine is more forgiving of CSS errors than ADE (and displays things differently), so you need to test in other software to insure compatibility.
