Pouring rain all day. A tree fell on power lines on the road I normally commute to work on - so I had a "scenic" detour this morning. Supposed to clear out by late afternoon. We've gotten over 3" of rain so far ....

Rain does sound good about now. We are to be over 100F today and about 105F tomorrow. That goodness it won't be with high humidity. The dry heat is much better to handle for me.

Weather has been a bit strange here.. some days its really warm, then the next day it might rain. Today is cloudy, but the weather just doesn't seem to make up its mind.

Wind, but from the wrong direction .
The breeze is now from the back to the front and that's not fun, since the fan in the basement is still expelling smoky air which now gets blown into the house. The dillema is now to either keep the windows open so it will at least air a bit or close the windows and be in the stale smoky air. |

Hot sunshine with a gentle breeze - dashed out and ran the mower! Before our next storm front arrives with more rain ...
Got a little heat sick .... |

Saturday was 107/8F and too hot to be outside. Sunday was breezy and cool with lightning and thunder showers and gusty winds last evening. Today is cloudy, cool, and only about 62F so far. It is suppose to warm up a bit later, but this weather is crazy.

According to the weather forecast, today was supposed to be cloudy in the morning and sunny in the afternoon. Actually it was cloudy in the morning, rainy in the beginning of the afternoon and then cloudy again. But the sun decided to show its face just before I left so I could commute both way in a fair weather. I decided on a bike-only commute today and 25 km later I'm glad I did
Tomorrow, the rain is back (just in case we would got use to having the sun, such a crazy thought in Spring). |

We keep on getting days here in London, England, that are sunny but not particularly warm. So much for cause and effect.

About 400 miles of driving in steady downpours. The rain stopped shortly after I got home.

88° F (31° C) and rising. Thunderstorms predicted for later today; some severe. Just came in from cutting the lawn before the messy arrives. Excuse me while I go die for a few minutes.

We're waiting for the "killer" storms to roll in this afternoon .... hope to live through them to enjoy a cooler weekend!
Currently in the 90's here with humidity levels off the scale -- just the witch's brew needed to trigger nasty storms. |
