... And according to Weather Underground (as per their weather station, located about ½ mile from my house) today's high temp was 99° F -- and it was very humid, too. There were some scattered showers, but they missed us. Most of the days next week are also expected to have highs in the 90s.

Pleasantly cool (80s F) but HUMID! Storms moving E to W tonight off the ocean ... waiting to see if any hold together to reach us ...

We got to about 90° here -- maybe a little bit warmer -- but we're in the middle of some very low humidity, so it was very nice outside!

Of course, we're on track for much higher humidity in the next few days.

And some of the trees out back already have red and yellow leaves.

Temps in the high 90s (F) and very humid. It's breezy, but the humidity means it's not a cooling breeze -- it's more like a convection oven effect.

According to the nearest Weather Underground station (within walking distance of my house) our high temp for the day was 102° -- with bright sun and no breeze. I spent a little time on the back deck reading and wilting. I had a mug of tea with me and I swear the longer I sat the hotter the tea got.

Two days ago our high temperature was about 100ºF and it was sunny, yesterday it was 96º and sunny. Today's high was 76º (it's 70, now) and it has been raining all day.

I prefer more civilized transitions.

Still waiting for that pesky cold front to arrive ... weekend temps supposed to top out in the 70's F ...

We had our first freeze since last May here last night. Where I live there are really only two seasons; Winter and Not-Winter. The first is the longest season.
