Best way to get books from calibre to android tablet?

What is the best way to get books onto my android tablet from calibre? I am wanting to put them onto a sd card and not the main memory.

Drag and drop from the Calibre library folder to the SD card folder don't need to use Calibre. If you do want to use Calibre then use the save to disk option in the menu and browse to your SD card.

I use save to disc in Calibre, and save the books to a folder that is shared over wifi.

Then I use the app FolderSync to sync a folder on my Xoom with the folder on the share.

Since my Xoom can't write to the external sd card, I have to use the internal card, but you might be able to use FolderSync to write to your external card?

I have FolderSync set to check if there are any changes on the share every hour, if I am charging my Xoom. So the sync usually happens without me having to do anything.

I use Airdroid App,
AirDroid is a fast, free app that lets you wirelessly manage your Android from your favourite browser.

Play store

Start App on Device, then you go to url in browser on desktop and enter passcode. Done
Then you can just chose the folder and drag any files over, pretty neat.
