Pennsylvania works similarly.

Overdrive eBooks are at the county level, at least in Philadelphia, Delaware, and Montgomery. If you go to the web site of your local library, and click on eBooks, you go to a county site. The same book in different counties seems like it can be either a 14 or 21 day loan.

Now where did I put my Pittsburgh card?

The standard loan period for Montgomery County eBooks seems to be 14 days -- whereas it is 28 days at the physical central library. This is a bit of a bummer as I like to read several books at once, not to mention the newspapers I get via Calibre. I am now reading a long Kindle eBook (Bloodlands by Timothy Snyder) I found on 21 day loan at Philadelphia's site.

none of the above

Choose the applicable category and there are just a few more screens where you'll enter your information. It's easy! They'll send your library card in the mail, and it takes 5 to 10 days.

Thanks for that. My husband is 65+. Just signed him up.

My local library uses Overdrive for online lending, and they do have titles available for the Kindle. Of the top 20 titles, 14 are available in Kindle format.

There is another positive for this I realized today. There have been a few PDFs I checked out in the past that looked horrible on my reader and I didn't read them so I went and checked and yep they now have a Kindle format of those books
