Zoom doesn't work for me in v2.7.1

Hi there,

I'm a fairly new iLiad owner ( got it yesterday! ) and my first steps with the device were:

(a) upgrading the firmware via iDS from installed v2.6.1 to pre2.7
(b) upgrading from pre2.7 to v2.7
(c) patching v2.7 to v2.7.1

When no downloads were left, I started playing around with the iLiad.

The point is that I'm unable to use the existent zoom button. When I click on it, no color inversion as stated in the manual takes place. Therefore it isn't possible to process a zoom area.

What I'm doing wrong?

you have to be in a pdf to use the zoom and pan options.

Are you sure the pen was "on"? Do other icon buttons work with the pen? If not, try putting the pen back and taking it out again.

I think there is something wrong with the button itself. A colleque of mine has got an iLiad too and he told me that the zoom button on his pdf-viewer has a different appearance.
His symbol shows a little rectangle in conjunction with an arrow pointing to and surrounded by a bigger rectangle with a dotted border. On the other hand, the zoom button on my iLiad pdf-viewer shows a little dotted rectangle within a bigger full line bordered one.

As I stated this symbol is not hidden and clickable in pdf-mode but beside refreshing the display two times it does nothing do.

Hmmm... now you made me go fetch my iLiad, turn it on and look at the icons, LOL.

There are four icons on the left in total, the first (on my iLiad) looks like a mix between your friend's and yours, it's a small dotted rectangle on the bottom left with a diagonal arrow to a large solid line rectangle, the second is a small solid rectangle with four arrows going to a larger dotted rectangle (to go to "fit page" zoom, so it does nothing but refresh if you haven't zoomed), the third is the pan option (disabled until you zoom) and the fourth is the landscape/portrait icon.

My four icons are looking exactly the same as they do in your configuration. So unfortunately the problem stays until my zoom button would work as it is supposed to.

BTW, is there any possibility to reset the iLiad back to its firmware roots - including the complete loss of all settings? - Or, to step back to an older firmware version?

Not that I know of. Maybe you need to contact iRex Support, and they may be able to do something.
