15 is not Sweden. I would go for Denmark or actually the flipside of 1, hence Norway and krone again.
18 is Korea and won. 19 is Iceland and kronur. Twitter is to communications as haiku is to literature. |

@drdj OT
Nordic currencies outside Finland is in English rendered as crown, Danish and Norwegian spelling is krone and Swedish spelling is krona, in Icelandic, more closely related to original Norse it was kronur but after the financial meltdown it is possible that they have changed the name to krona. Twitter is to communications as haiku is to literature. |

Quotes about places. One point for the place, and one for the speaker/writer.
Note: some of these are almost certainly apocryphal, but they're commonly associated with a particular speaker/writer. 1. "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in [city]." 2. "Last, loneliest, loveliest, exquisite, apart." 3. "When I die, [city] will be written in my heart." 4. "I found [city] a city of bricks and left it a city of marble." 5. "When a man is tired of [city], he is tired of life; for there is in [city] all that life can afford." 6. "An artist has no home in Europe except in [city]." 7. "[city] is like eating an entire box of chocolate liqueurs in one go." 8. "If Paris is a city of lights, [city] is the city of fireworks." 9. "There are many people in the world who really don't understand--or say they don't--what is the great issue between the free world and the Communist world. Let them come to [city]!" 10. "[city] has created one of the most successful societies on Earth." Bonus question: this one is a country rather than a city "There are two seasons in [country]: June and Winter." Clues will be forthcoming as necessary. Last edited by Shayne Parkinson; 01-08-2017 at 10:43 PM. |
