You could try setting the patch values to 1,9,99,Chapter so that there is room in the description strings for the whole word `pages`, i.e. `9 pages` and `99 pages` instead of `32 page` and 99 page`. But if that doesn't work then I think the only way is to create new translations, I don't know anything about how to do that, but others in the forum do.
