Also I doubt they handle very much business, otherwise it would become a significant customer service issue and eat into their profits. The majority of people will just buy the books on Amazon B&N, Apple, Google, Kobo because that's more convenient and except for the $9.99 deals that they currently run, it is usually cheaper to do so. |

Speaking of silly laws how about it being illegal for kids to blow out candles on a birthday cake in school.

I have indeed refrained from taking medication after reading the smallprint. That should be my choice to make after being given all information, it is not right to withhold it from me - I am not a child. Also, I would not trust a healthcare professional who'd give me this type of answer. PS: Sorry, I will stick to the sales tax topic henceforth. Last edited by xendula; 02-20-2013 at 08:31 PM. |

I'm what my doctor calls a .01% responder - if there's a strange side effect going around, I'll get it - you know, the kind of side effect that's listed in 6 point type on the information sheets. You better beiieve that I want to know about them!
true story: one day, my feet swelled up like balloons and my toes like sausages. My doc coudn't figure out why and since one of the reasons for it is kidney failure, and since I have compromised kidney functioning, I was sent to the ER. Nobody could find anything wrong with me, so I was sent home. The next doctor's appointment I had, we were doing a med review, and it turns out that the blood pressure medication (which I can't spell much less pronounce) has swollen extremities as a side effect. If I'd known that before the ER trip, it would have saved ever so much pain and worry. |

It seems that it's not illegal, and it's not new advice. What it is - media running silly scare stories that no-one will check their sources on. (Apparently).
