Could Book Designer Load an LRF File?

Wondered if it would take a major modification of Book Designer for it to be able to load an .LRF file once it's created?

As it stands now I end up keeping both the .LRF and the original file from which it was made in case my wife wants a copy of it on her reader. She and I prefer different default font sizes and paragraph breaks so I end up having to rebuild the .LRF from the original file.

Also a minor problem when I realize I made a mistake Making a book series and then have to go back and reMake them instead of just loading and editing the .LRF.

It's not a high priority but would sure be a nice feature to be able to load and edit an .LRF in Book Designer.

The solution is to make an lrf file and save it, so that you can read it on your Reader.

Also, make a Book Designer file (the last option on the make ebooks tab).

You may then open the BD file whenever you like, and use it to generate books in other formats (eg if you change devices) or to make another lrf book with different settings.

The Book Designer format books are likely to be stored in My computer---c drive---program files---book designer 4---BD.

What I do myself is to store the entire "Lastfile" folder within the BD application folder.

Yes, that's another way of getting the same result.

I do the saving to Book Designer format. That works best for me.

Sounds good. Several good options. Hate using the extra space to save the original; and the lrf. Guess I can just delete the lrf once it's transferred and keep the BD format one. . I have a LOT of books. lol

Those are workable solutions. Thanks.

Books are small; space really is not an issue with modern hard disks. I have well over 20,000 eBooks - they use approximately 10GB of disk space.
