The Sleeping Beauty trilogy by Anne Rice is actually well-written and has the same themes (punishment) and was written over 20 years before 50 Shades of Grey.

Was going to read the ebook, but my local library had lots of holds on it. Was able to borrow from my daughter. Sigh! found out was written in the first person and I don't like that reading style any more. Only was able to get through a few pages. From reading the review in the 2nd post, sound like I didn't miss much.

The Swedish translation is on it's way but the EL James agency won't allow the electronic version to be to downloaded from the library. http://www.svd.se/kultur/femtio-nyan...an_7499506.svd (artical in Swedish)
